Storängens Camping

Country/Region 

Storängens Camping is located on the Klarälven River in Värmland in the southern part of Sweden. A beautiful region in a country where peace, space and beautiful nature are central. The green, wooded and partly hilly surroundings of Värmland invite you to make beautiful walking and cycling trips. Of course, Värmland with its many rivers and lakes is ideal for swimming and canoeing.

The nice villages and small towns in the area, with traditional Swedish parties and events, are also worth a visit. Ransäter, Munkfors and Karlstad are some examples of this. Also look for moose, roe deer, foxes and beavers. You might see one in the summer during a moose safari. You can also go on a beaver safari from the campsite. You descend the river on a raft and look for beavers with binoculars. 

Camping 

Storängens Camping is a small campsite located in a beautiful location along the Klarälven River. At the campsite there is a playground with, among other things, a swing, a slide and a sandpit. There is also a small kiosk and a cafeteria with a terrace, where various snacks, drinks and ice cream can be ordered. A varied activity program for the children is provided during the summer holidays. From a raft bridge you can reach an island with a beach in the river. The Tendi safari tents are located in spacious places (at least 400 m2) along the river. A beautiful and adventurous place where you will completely unwind.

A dog exhibition is taking place in a nearby village on 24 and 25 July. This can make it a bit busier at the campsite. The Tendi Safari tents are located in a separate, spacious area of the campsite.

  • Vattenpark in Sunne, a water park with various slides and the heated swimming pool
  • Forshaga, you can enjoy salmon fishing in the Klaralven, or hit a ball on the 18-hole golf course.

  • Husky farm/moose safari in Sunnemo.
  • Horse riding in the forests around ransater.
